With the rise of connected devices it’s more important than ever to reach new audiences and to ensure you’re publishing valuable content where it’s in demand. Apps represent a great opportunity for achieving this but behind the rise of apps designed for consuming web content is a dramatically changing ecosystem of distribution platforms and devices. This brings with it the headache of developing for different proprietary platforms while fragmentation continues to grow with each new device brought to market – each with its own unique set of user experience conventions. Media publishers have to grapple with the complexity of streamlining the management of content across disparate systems and data sources whilst optimising services for the right device. Brightcove will explore the challenges and opportunities for publishers struggling with the cost and complexity of developing and managing apps across the growing number of new platforms along with the rise of the ‘content app platform’ which seeks to remedy the larger pain points of app development.

Questions answered :
- How can I build an app in a fast and cost-effective way for both iOS and Android devices?
- How can I build what looks and feels like a native app with HTML5, without needing the specialist skillsets required for native development?
- How can I develop my company’s brand with a content app?
- How can I make my app more successful and drive audience engagement?

Speaker Bio: Robert Raiola is Senior Marketing Director, EMEA, at Brightcove. Based in Paris, Robert is responsible for heading up marketing strategy in Europe for cloud content services provider Brightcove, and has a deep industry knowledge of online video, and the digital media and marketing fields. Having previously held the role as CEO of Avanquest France, Robert spent eight years at Adobe where, after leading field marketing activities for Adobe Southern Europe, he served as Senior Marketing Director fo
