Mobile-commerce is still a nascent technology and thus, there are many things still unclear for retailers. Do we need a mobile strategy? What are the different routes available? What fits best to our brand and target customers?
And, can we afford this?
This talk will aim to give insights into the challenges of retailers to sell successfully on mobile, with a special focus on fashion retail. I will use the learning from running more than a dozen fashion mobile websites and native apps.
Retailers already have data about their mobile users on the website, but it is not straightforward what this data means for the mobile strategy. I will aim to pinpoint the numbers/data to look at, to help retailers to determine their mobile strategy.
Also, I will talk about the different routes that are available to reach out to mobile customers, but also which ones are fitting to a particular use case.
Developers, on the other hand, have great technical solutions, but often not an in-depth understanding of the actual issues of fashion retailers. I will go into details, where we encounter problems to engage the tech community to think about solutions.

Questions Answered:
a, What are technical challenges for brands/retailers vs. for developers.
b, As a brand what numbers to look at to determine a mobile strategy.
c, What are the different mobile strategies available for a fashion brand.
d, What are real life problems that many retailers face, which can be solved by new startups.
